The Macaw Recovery Network (previously The Ara Project) is a non-profit organization with a vision to have thriving parrot populations in healthy, connected forests, across their former ranges. Previously extinct in this area, MRN has brought the iconic Scarlet Macaw back, giving our region an established population of over 50 birds! You can see these reintroduced Macaws fly free and learn about the various efforts this wonderful organization undertakes when you visit Costa Rica.
