Although Arenal was considered one of the world’s most active volcanoes, it has not seen any activity for the last few years, but it is still rumbling a little and steaming. However, Arenal remains an impressive and seductive volcano well worth visiting. The area offers natural hot springs with soaking pools ranging from 25c to 50c.
Make sure you bring your camera, hiking shoes, bathing suit, towel, and insect repellent, and, in the rainy season, a jacket and hat.
