This tour is great for seeing and experiencing Costa Rican nature up close. In Arenal, you will be introduced to your river guide, and he will take you on a 2-hour gentle float down the slow-moving Peñas Blancas river where you will see a large diversity of birds as well as animals such as sloths, monkeys, reptiles, iguanas, colorful frogs, and snakes including a wide selection of the local flora and fauna.

Samara-Palo Verde Boat Day Tour

Palo Verde National Park is a wildlife refuge located between the Tempisque and Bebedero rivers offering the biggest area of wetlands in Costa Rica. Rio Celeste Day Tour

A day trip to the Tenorio Volcano National Park involves a pleasant, yet somewhat challenging, hike through the cool rain forest with beautiful scenery. The hike is about 3 km in one direction before you reach the amazing blue Rio Celeste Waterfall. There are several other trails as well. Although Arenal was considered one of the world’s most active volcanoes, it has not seen any activity for about 2 years. However, Arenal remains an impressive and seductive volcano well worth visiting. The area offers natural hot springs with soaking pools ranging from 25c to 50c. Make sure you bring your camera, hiking shoes, bathing suit, towel, insect repellent, raincoat in the rainy season, a jacket, and a hat.
