The Guided Nature Hike in Samara has been a private preserve for over 28 years.

The naturalist will begin your hike on an old cattle farm just 8 minutes from downtown Samara and continue through a mango plantation before entering the Dry Tropical Forest. Here you will learn about the native plants and animals, as well as the rich and interesting history of the native peoples who inhabited the land long before the time of Columbus.

The trails are a moderate hike keeping the natural beauty of the area in mind. You will be treated to an amazing view, and first-growth jungles, and have the opportunity to see animals and insects such as monkeys, iguanas, Coatia, spiders, and snakes. You will also learn about the amazing plant life in the area.

Tour times are 6:30 am pick-up and 2:30 pm pick-up.

Tour includes entrance to the Reserve, bilingual natural sciences major guide, tropical snack plus granola bar, transportation, and insurance.

Bring closed shoes, water, bug repellent, sunblock, and a camera.
